It's been a whirlwind week! I flew out Sunday afternoon to head to Los Angeles for the E3 Gaming Conference. Our first stop after we landed, was at In-N-Out Burger, naturally.
Monday morning, we had the Microsoft Xbox E3 Media Briefing which was really cool. They had these bracelets that lit up in conjunction to the game trailers. Microsoft really focused on the new game releases. Check out the awesome clip from the Halo Master Chief trailer at the briefing:
Monday night was the Sony Playstation Media Briefing. Before it started, they had food trucks and bars set up outside which was awesome. Sony focused more on the indie games and new hardware (i.e., white console bundle with Destiny game, Playstation TV, and Project Morpheus).
On Tuesday, we headed to the E3 Expo and since we have exhibitor passes, we got to walk around the hall before the doors opened to the public.
The Nintendo booth was really cool and colorful.
Xbox's booth was huge and focused on Forza, Sunset Overdrive, Halo 5, and Call of Duty. I played this awesome game called Valiant Hearts.
Tuesday night, we went to the Jagex party and I got to see this lovely lady! Laura says she's not photogenic - insane, right?
Then we headed to the Microsoft Xbox event at The Edison which was amazing. It is the old Edison light bulb factory and used to power a 20 mile radius! It felt like a speakeasy and had super cool decorations.
The booths had these old pinup girl images.
The walls were signed by celebrities like Tippi Hedron, Don Cheadle, and Ray Romano.
There were also cute waitresses dressed up with vintage candies and candy cigarettes!
They even had carts with viles of absinthe!
On Wednesday, I walked around the South Hall of the conference. The Evolve booth was super cool and an old friend of mine was actually working in the booth as a videographer.
The Evil Within booth had a camera that would turn your face into the game poster. Pretty cool, huh?
For dinner Wednesday, we ate at Bottega Louie. The pizza is so good! They even have handmade macaroons, but I had to pass on dessert.
Our company, InComm, sponsors a party at E3 every year. This year the Nexon/ Riot Game/ and Valve party was at Create Nightclub. The DJ was some young prodigy, Madeon, but it was a bit too crowded for my taste. The photobooth was at least fun!
I got home Thursday night, but we did have some celebrity sightings! Jon Lovitz, Jenna Elfman, and my favorite, Tim Roth!
I'm ready for some downtime this weekend before traveling again next week!
Hope your week was wonderful and that your weekend is even better!
xo
Looks like such a fun (and busy) time! You look great xoxo
