Hope you all had a peaceful holiday weekend!
I had a laid back break with lots of loved ones, good food, and time spent laying around watching movies.
On Wednesday night, we headed to my in-law's house for their Thanksgiving dinner with the grandparents. I made green bean casserole, vegetarian stuffing, and pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes with cream cheese icing. I went ahead and made 24 cupcakes so I could take some to my family's Thanksgiving on Thursday.
You always have to taste test, right? :)
It's amazing how we do so many casseroles in the South!
We had some rain over the long weekend and poor Townes and I got stuck in a downpour. Townes got under this huge evergreen and did NOT want to move so we ended up running all of the way home. Oops!
On Thursday, we headed to my parents' house for Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family.
We had such a great time with a TON of food. J stayed until after we ate and then went up to his Aunt's house to see his side of the family.
The dessert table with oreo balls, strawberry cheesecake, banana pudding, brownies, pumpkin cupcakes, and more! My cousin, Jessica, made this amazing sourdough pull apart bread with cheese, butter, and finally minced green onions!
My cousin and I were inseparable growing up and we used to always take "modeling" photos with disposable cameras. This room divider/ pole was always an infamous spot so we had to take pictures for old time's sake! We laughed so hard while taking these pics!
The whole gang (well minus J and my cousin David and his family, sadly)!
Townes was officially exhausted after all of the little kids and tons of turkey!
Every family event ends with all of the women around the table! :)
On Friday, we just took it easy, ate leftovers, and watched some movies (including "You're Not You" which was amazing).
On Saturday, I met up with my best friend Kelly (in town from Las Vegas) for lunch. Sadly we didn't get any pictures, but I'll be seeing her in February to make up for it. So lucky to have her in my life!
After lunch, I went to my best friend Beth's apartment for her bachelorette party! We started at the spa...below is my groggy face after a full body massage and hot shower...we decided we need to do these outings quarterly (I'm in!).
After the spa, we got some sushi and brought it back to Beth's apartment. We spent the evening drinking lots of wine, snacking on good food, enjoying the fire, and dancing and singing along to music (Brittany, you are the best DJ)! Some girl time with incredible ladies is always good for the soul! I love you ladies and can't wait to dance more in 2 weeks at the wedding!
Since we didn't fall asleep until 4 AM and got up early, the rest of my Sunday was pretty low key with some errands around the house and maybe a nap!:)
How did you spend the holiday weekend? Did you brave shopping on Black Friday or decorate for Christmas?
xo
Hi Nicole! That Thanksgiving spread looks amazing! Where did you guys go to the spa? I'm looking for a spa to give a gift certificate to someone as a Christmas gift.

Hey Erin! Thanks for commenting :) I think I'm still recovering from all of that food! Hope you're doing well, dear! xo
DeleteWe went to Natural Body Spa in Buckhead which was nice (they have multiple locations), but Spa Sydell in Midtown (although they have other locations too) is nice and so is Blue Med Spa in Midtown. Hope this helps!!
